Apfelsine Pudding (Orange Pudding)

4 lg Oranges
1 c Sugar
1 qt Milk
3 Egg Yolks
1/2 c Sugar
2 tb Cornstarch
3 Egg Whites
4 tb Sugar

Peel and slice oranges, put in flat 9x9x2-inch pan and sprinkle with 1 cup sugar.

Make aboiled custard of milk, yolks of 3 eggs (well beaten), 1/2 cup sugar, and cornstarch.

When cool pour over oranges; over this spread the whites of the eggs beaten with 4 tablespoons of sugar. Place in slow oven at 325ø F. until brown.
